Watch: Awkward! Fans Boo Drake Off Stage
It was surely a night to forget for multiple Grammy award-winning Canadian rapper, Drake when he was met with a not so pleased audience at Tyler, the Creator’s annual Camp Flog Gnaw festival at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
The ‘God’s Plan’ hitmaker had taken to the stage to perform when the fans began to boo him causing him to leave his set 20 minutes earlier than planned.
It is gathered that the booing might have resulted because of fake news because an Instagram live recording led many fans to believe Frank Ocean, an artist with a close relationship with Tyler, would be the night’s special guest.
In footage doing the rounds on social media, the Canadian hip-hop star can be seen pleading with the audience:
“Like I said, I’m here for you,” and, “If you want me to keep going, I’ll keep going.”
The fans were definitely not star-struck as the rapper was met with a cacophony of boos and “nos”, which resulted in him exiting stage left. As he walked off the stage, he said:
“It’s been love. I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me.”
Before making for the exits, Drake performed nine songs, including “I’m Upset” and Meek Mill’s “Going Bad,” according to Setlist.fm.

We recently reported that the rapper has ventured into the marijuana business. In a report by TMZ, he named his weed business “More Life Growth Company” off his 2017 mixtape More Life. According to legal documents, Drake wants to lock up the rights to his company’s name and then use it to sell vapes, pipes, rolling papers and hookahs, plus a ton of merch like shirts, boots, coats, dresses, gloves, hats, hoodies, jackets, jeans, sweats, shorts and sneakers; he’s even included lingerie in his trademark application.
Asides the Marijuana business, Drake is also going into herbal teas for medicinal, recreational purposes and medicinal herb extracts.
