The French Riviera, also known as Cote d’Azur, is made up of Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Nice, Antibes and the independent Principality of Monaco. It is breathtaking, from the vibrant architecture to its iconic landscapes. These quick tips will guide you on a 48-hour stay.

DAY 1

Take pictures at Place Massena
Located in central Nice, Place Massena, the city’s main square, is absolutely stunning. The large, open space with black and white tiled floors is surrounded by magnificent buildings with archways. Take pictures with the dancing fountains and statues of Apollo.

Relax at Promenade des Anglais
Take a stroll on the shore of this beautiful beach. Although it is full of pebbles, it is a good place to meditate. Enjoy the beautiful view of Cote d’Azur and ride a bike if you feel up to it.

Climb the Castle Hill
The Castle Hill is the best place to get a panoramic view of the French Riviera.

Experience Russia at St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral
Thinking of visiting Russia? Get a feel of Russia at the St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, the biggest Russian Orthodox Cathedral outside Russia. It is authentic and has all the “Onion Domes” on the building like you see in Moscow. Say a prayer and feed your eyes on iconic paintings.

Eat, shop, stroll in Old Town
Old Town, also known as Vieille Ville, offers authentic French restaurants and really nice shops. Stroll down the narrow medieval streets and get lost. You will always find something new to discover.

DAY 2

Go for a jog at Port Vauban
A great way to start your day is by going for a jog or riding a bike at Port Vauban. It is refreshing and calming. Stop by the port and take beautiful pictures of the yachts.

Explore Old Town, Antibes
This is a typical French town with cobblestone streets, alleyways, fountains, cute boutiques, cafes, restaurants, pubs and pastry shops. Admire the ancient buildings and buy souvenirs. Note though that there are dogs everywhere.

Visit Musée Picasso
A castle turned museum, Musée Picasso is the ideal place for art lovers. Soak yourself with artworks of Picasso and stand in the very room Picasso worked in for years.

Eat and learn about French pastries
Antibes is home to the best pastry stores in the French Riviera. Have you ever seen a chocolate macaroon mountain or tasted the best chocolate ganache cake? Visit Jean Luc Pele to have a taste.

Hop on a train to Monaco
The coolest thing about visiting the French Riviera is being able to cover your dream destinations in one trip. Hop on a train to Monaco from Nice or Antibes for a few Euros and remember to dress nice.

Monte Carlo Casino
This is a major attraction in Monaco and is recognised as one of the top casinos in the world. You are welcomed by this magnificent building with the sleekest cars in the world parked right in front of it. A few James Bond movies were shot here and you can get that James Bond experience by playing a few games.

The people in the French Riviera are friendly and it is a place to visit in any season. You get everything you want in a trip: the beaches, people, history, nightlife, food, shopping, landmarks and glamour.
