The best thing about travelling is the experience from the moment you close the final zipper on your travel bag right up till the moment you get to your destination. Asides the tourist attractions that you have lined up to keep you busy at your destination, lately, the airports have become a destination themselves.

We are guessing the idea is to keep the travellers busy while they have stop-overs or just generally waiting for flights. These are four spots in different airports you should go to at least once in your life or pick a fave and tick off your bucket list.

We believe the chances of you missing your flight in Seoul are quite high considering they have been built so you can never leave. One of the best features in the complex airport is the Museum of Korean Culture which gives you an experience of South Korea, you can make crafts such as”lucky bags”, watch performances such as the masque dances and twelve-string Korean harp recitals. Splendid, isn’t it?

Save from being boring, airports can be pretty stressful and you’d need something to take the edge off. It is the world’s first airport yoga studio making its debut in January 2012. Located at the post-security in Terminal 2, the relaxing room is quiet and dark, with wooden floors and mirrors along one wall. It has become a favourite of passengers and they have spaces for five to six people and yoga mats just waiting for you!

Just when you think you’ve seen it all. In comes the waves of Germany right in the middle of the airport. There is a man-made 33-foot-wide, 5-foot-high standing wave and pool, open to both professionals and amateurs. It will be great to note that this airport has hosted five seasonal surfing championships at the pool/wave. Talk about tourist attraction!

One of the busiest airports in the world has plans to make sure you never leave! With the SnoozeCube, a cube (obviously) with a  full-sized bed, an entertainment system with touch screen TV, and Wi-Fi. The best part is that the cube is connected to the airport’s flight information system, so chances of you missing your flight are low because they really need you to leave so the next traveller can enjoy the experience.
