Just a half hour ride from Naples and about 40 minutes from Positano by hydrofoil, is Capri, an island synonymous with impossible glamour, style, and celebrity.

The island is exquisite, with so much to see and do, but most tourists barely make it out of the central Piazzetta.

If you are heading to Capri this summer, or ever, here is my list of things to do In Capri:

Capri

Take a Boat Tour Around the Island
You can save money and take a larger boat (packed with tourists) or hire a small private boat for a couple hours. But either way, sailing around the perimeter of the island is a must and the only way to see all of the amazing caves and grottos.

Sip a Fresh-Squeezed Lemon and Orange Granita
The best of Capri’s freshly squeezed lemon and orange granita are at the stand just as you exit the funicular coming up to the main town of Capri.

Take the chairlift from Piazza Vittoria in Anacapri to Monte Solaro
The chairlift is a fun experience and gives you breathtaking views of the entire island.

Eat Spaghetti Alle Vongole at Da Goia
Describing the seafood at Da Goia as fresh is an almost an impossible task! You have to experience it firsthand. What could be more enticing than the thought of enjoying a bowl of fresh seafood by the waterfront.

Soak in some Sun at the Marina Piccola
Capri is a giant rock in the ocean, so if you are looking for long sandy beaches you will be disappointed. The water, however, is gorgeous shades of blue and green and is crystal clear. If you don’t want to pay 20 euros, I highly recommend the small, but stunning, free beach in Marina Piccola. And there is a bonus: if you eat at Da Goia you can use their lounge chairs and facilities for free.

Taste Limoncello (and/or Lemon Chocolate)
Lemons and citrons are famous in this area for a reason, they are amazing. Eat as many lemon flavoured food and drink as possible while in the Amalfi Coast!

7) Hike up to the Villa Jovis
Warning! Tt is a very long hike. But it compensates you with an incredible view and 2,000-year-old Roman Ruins is worth it!

Window Dream Shop Along Via Camerelle
Capri is a very stylish and expensive place. It is fun to stroll this fancy shopping street and admire all of its beautiful people.

Take in the View From the top of Via Krupp
Via Krupp is a long winding road that leads to Marina Piccola. It has one of the best views of the famous Capri rocks, the “Faraglioni” (pictured in the first photo).

Visit The Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra)
It is a sea cave on the coast of the island of Capri.  The sunlight passing through an underwater cavity and shining through the seawater creates a blue reflection that illuminates the cavern. It is almost guaranteed this is one of the most beautiful things you will probably ever see.
