Apple’s big flop?

When Apple’s president Tim Cook unveiled the new iPhone line-up, little did he know that the smartphones’ most prominent feature would also cause social media rebuttal? The iPhone Pro and Pro Max have a unique feature; a triple-lens fidget spinner shaped 12MP rear camera array. Soon after the launch, several people took to social media to bemoan the design of the camera claiming that it triggers their trypophobia (an aversion to the sight of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps.). If this will affect their sales returns, only time will tell.

“Americanah” comes to life

Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira’s planned adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie’s novel “Americanah” has received a straight-to-series order at HBO Max. Variety also reports that HBO Max has given the limited series a 10-episode order. Nyong’o will star in the series, with Gurira writing the pilot and serving as showrunner.  This announcement received mixed reactions from the Nigerian public. Some opined that her nationality disqualifies her from the role. However, another school of thought has said that Nigerians playing the role of other historical characters from other nations should receive the same criticism for a level playing ground.

Hart aches

Following his recent release from the hospital, Kevin Hart’s former sex-tape partner, Montia Sabbag is suing him for $60 million (₦21 billion). Sabbag claims in a new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, that her 2017 encounter with Hart in a Vegas hotel room was all planned by Hart and actor JT Jackson.
