On a lazy day when you really do not have the strength to style yourself, you can always count on black outfits. Throw on a nice, black shirt over a pair of black trousers and pair this with heels, sneakers or sandals, depending on where you are going. Or pull out that life-saving little black dress that you’ve had for years but still looks amazing on you. Accessorise whichever way you feel comfortable, and voila! Perfection.

On a day when you are moving from work to a sit-down concert or a dinner-date, and you are nervous about what to wear, feel free to throw on your black outfit and then all you need to do is carry accessories to wear later in the evening.

Dark colours are slimming, and guess what colour is the darkest of them all… Black. Wearing a single colour from top to bottom will not only tone your figure down a bit, it will also elongate your legs making you look even taller.

Wearing a fitted, black tuxedo to an occasion makes you stand out easily (except perhaps if you are competing with those sexy Yoruba men in agbadas at weddings). It oozes power and sophistication.

With black, you can look laid-back about your dressing while also looking very stylish, like you could throw on a sack and rock it. Don’t forget to sprinkle a pinch of confidence on that.
