We apply makeup to look prettier and younger, using it right the way make us feel real good. But there are some makeup mistakes we often make either by applying it incorrectly or using the wrong products. Thus, instead of getting prettier and younger, we look older. Here are some common makeup mistakes that you want to watch out for:
Application Of Foundation

Foundations is a skin-hued cosmetics that is connected to the face to conceal minor imperfections, make a uniform composition and adjust the shade of the skin. The genuine appearance of any foundation is dictated by how it really functions with your specific skin tone, it decides how your whole makeup will show up. Foundation with too much coverage makes the skin look older. Try and go with a foundation that has a natural finish. One that’s dewier gives a youthful appearance as it’s more reflective.
Concealer

Don’t over conceal your face or dark circles. If concealer is correctly applied, it creates wonders. Concealer is meant to erase dark circles under the eyes and combat the look of fatigue. However, if you apply a dense layer and you use a color lighter than your skin, it might turn out to be a cosmetic disaster. To avoid such, use a fluid concealer type (not the crayon type) and tap well on the region where you apply it then smoothen up. Use a moisturizing eye cream to prep your skin if your concealer highlights the wrinkles on your face.
Not Using Primers

Primers are very important, they create a base by smoothening your skin and ensuring that makeup stays put. A good primer is effective in turning the skin into a flawless canvas on which to apply foundation. You can mix it with your foundation or tinted moisturizer or apply a light layer as the first step in your makeup routine. Primers help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a silky-smooth finish, plus it helps your makeup last longer.
Overuse Of Powder

Another common makeup mistake that can make you look older is to overdo your face with powder. If you have oily skin you might feel like you have to reapply powder often to get a matte finish or some ladies just like to apply a lot of powder to even out their complexion but it actually works against us. Too much powder can blur the dimensions of our face, make our skin look dull and it can crack and emphasize lines. Get in the habit of shaking off excess powder from your brush or if you use a powder puff, tap or rub off excess before applying it to your face.
Black Eye Makeup

Dark or Dull eye liner and shadow might have been extraordinary in the past for accomplishing a smoky look, yet in more seasoned age, the key is certainly to Lighting up. Dim lines can look severe on matured skin, making eyes look littler or unattractive. Alternative for a delicate smoky chocolate tone in mascara and liner, which will give sultry definition to the eyes without overwhelming the face.
Darker Lipliner on Lipsticks.

Lip liner is meant to define your lips and lip color, not act as your lip color. Using a lip liner much darker than the lipstick is another cosmetic disaster.
Skipping Blush

A rosy flush on your cheeks brings instant life to your face. And, if applied correctly, blush can offer a little lift. Smile, find the fleshiest part of your cheek and apply color just slightly above it. Blend the color out toward your temples in circles, not a line, using a big fluffy brush. You want to avoid a stripe of color that stretches along your cheekbones, which can make you look drawn and hollow. If you are not good at applying blush, do not use.
