Head designer and creative director of fashion houses Chanel and Fendi Karl Lagerfeld, is famous for a lot of his shows, as well as his beautifully designed and created clothes.

However,  Karl Lagerfeld’s recent project is different from what we mostly know him for. The designer has  added a new product to his repertoire and taken on a new category of clientele. The genius behind a good number of our favorite looks and outfits off and on the runway has released a collection of engagement rings for brides-to-be.

“I had never done a ring for that occasion,” Lagerfeld admits. “It was kind of a challenge.” He has entered into a licensing agreement with jeweler Frederick Goldman to distribute Karl Lagerfeld fine jewelry in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K., the first collection of which debuts this fall and focuses on engagement rings for the millennial crowd.

The collection includes three distinct designs, the first of which is highlighted by pointed studs similar to the ones seen on many of the accessories in his eponymous line. The second style incorporates modern, geometric shapes, and the third is inspired by the curves and arches seen throughout Parisian architecture. All of the styles are offered in 18-karat white and yellow gold, as well as platinum, and prices start at $1,000, going up to $10,000.

It is definitely a beautiful and brilliant collection but not bling-y!
