Review: All Roads Lead to Wings ‘N’ Sides
If you work around Lekki Phase One, then you are truly a blessed individual spoilt for choice when it comes to where or what to eat. After a very successful meeting, I stopped to try a meal at Wings ‘N’ Sides located at 29 Fola Osibo Road, Lekki Phase One.
I got into the restaurant and met a space that brought nostalgia to my cafeteria days at the University of Lagos. Only, on a better scale of course! The space, although small, is set up in a way you can eat with friends on the table arrangement or eat alone with the stool arrangement.
I had to make my way to the counter to order my meal, which I haven’t done in a while. The attendee was nice as she basically helped me pick out my tray. I ordered six pieces of chicken wings which come with a flavour of choice, I picked the suicidal flavour under the spicy section. I also ordered a spicy crunchy chicken burger and passionfruit lemonade. My meal came within a reasonable timeframe. As with my order, I also had to get my meal from the counter when it was ready. To be candid, this was the major thing I did not like about the restaurant.
My expectations for the burger weren’t met, it felt like bland chicken, pickles and mayonnaise. I basically forced myself to finish it. On the other hand, the chicken wings were divine! I guess this is because it’s their speciality. It was extra spicy, suicidal for people who can’t handle their chilli but right if you like that sort of adventure in your mouth.
The ambience of the restaurant made it very easy to eat and get a little bit of work done. Would I be coming back here? Definitely. It’s a good space to grab a quick meal privately, snacks with friends and maybe work if you are within the area and between meetings. Also, the pricing is pretty decent.
