Neo-Afropop artiste, Biwom is the not-so-new kid on the block, vying for a seat at the table of pop stars credits to her unmistakable talent and the unrestrained backing of her music label, Xcelar Music Group.

As we gathered during a quick chat with Biwom, the singer who was born Marytonette Okudare is an Ex Beauty Queen from the revered southern Nigeria state, Cross River. Biwom made her first attempt at singing at the age of 5 in a church band then called “Little Angels” and would go on to hone her skills as an instrumentalist in the capacity of a drummer and keyboardist at the age of 9.

Using her spare time in the university where she bagged a degree in Law, Biwom recorded her first single, participated in a handful of music competitions and gained a reasonable degree of recognition. In the last quarter of 2018, she released a single titled Faya and has now followed up with the just-released Krizbeatz-produced pop ballad dubbed G-Wagon.

G-Wagon which is her debut since penning a deal with Xcelar Music Group puts her impressive vocal dexterity on display and is accompanied by a colourful Clarence Peters directed video. The singer embodies a cool girl vibe with a bold alternative aesthetic and an unmistakable pop appeal.
