Every year Lagos experiences heavy rainfall. In 2017, Lagos witnessed the impact of yearly rainfall in its city with unprecedented flooding.
The experience, pictures, and videos shared on social media after the heavy rain, though comical sometimes, clearly showed what the future could look like. Lagos needs to prepare for an amphibious life where water becomes as important as land.
Themed Amphibious Lagos, Africa’s pioneering Architectural festival, Open House Lagos will not only showcase the beauty of architecture in Lagos but the importance of water in city through symposiums, exhibitions and providing access to buildings for free.
Set to kick off on April 26th – April 29, 2018, this year’s edition will feature over 30 buildings spread across Lagos Island & Mainland and 11 tours through diverse conveyance channels with the aim of providing tourists with a holistic feel of Lagos transportation system.
