Remember Funke Abimbola-Akindolie, the British-Nigerian lawyer whose 22-23 paged CV got people talking?

Well, she joined the likes of Ed Sheeran to be conferred the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by the future king of England, Prince Charles at the Buckingham Palace yesterday.

The multiple award-winning Nigerian, who is also the founder of the International Women Leader in Life Sciences Network, was honoured because of her numerous contribution to “help diversify the legal profession”.

In 2015 alone, she was a finalist and a recipient of 10 awards. Some of which includes the Outstanding Woman In Professional Services, Precious Awards; Inspiring Member of the Year, Inclusive Networks Awards and Certificate of Merit, British Citizen Awards.

She is also the most influential black lawyer in Great Britain and the most senior lawyer in Roche pharmaceutical company, the world’s largest biotech company. Just recently, she was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Congratulations to this great Nigerian ambassador.
