Simi has released the video for Aimasiko, one of her infectious hits off her eponymous 2017 LP, Simisola.

On the Seyikeyz-produced song, Simi skillfully samples the chorus of Ebenezer Obey’s classic of the same name. The video also shows a cameo of the juju legend him to avoid what happened with Sir Victor Uwaifo’s Joromi, her biggest hit so far.

Aimasiko tells of the importance of patience and perseverance. The video shows relatable stories of a father struggling to feed his family, a man in search of a job, a girl whose parents are unable to pay her school fees and an educator who can’t have children. The video directed by Aje Filmworks sees them smiling hopefully through their struggles.

Simi’s album, Simisola, deservedly won the award for Album of the Year at this year’s Headies.

For those who have been craving new music from the Joromi singer, she promises to release a new single soon.
