Suave, for a man, means charming, elegant and confident.  These characteristics alas cannot be achieved by neglecting yourself. Careful attention has to be paid to your overall look – from your skin to your clothes.

The benefits of looking good, beyond the obvious, increase the confidence you have in yourself and the confidence of other people in you.

To help you look suave, we’ve picked out some key things you need to focus on

Stick to the basics

A lot has changed over the years in men’s style. There is a move towards a more rebellious fashion for men. To become classically suave, start investing in quality shirts and trousers; also invest in really good blazers and wrist-watches. Nothing beats dressing up in a classic but modern way.

Pick a great hairstyle

Most Nigerian and African men tend to shave their hairs; this though doesn’t mean you get to be carefree about it. Take care of whatever little hair you may have. Always brush it to create a clean effect and don’t forget to find a suitable beard style while at it.

Smell Good

Dressing good and smelling bad is worse than dressing badly. Some people say things like: “I don’t smell.” Just don’t risk it, invest in a good deodorant and perfume and save yourself the stress of uncertainty.

Great Skin Products

Most men often neglect to pay attention to them when it comes to using products like moisturisers and oils. Looking suave is not just about your clothes, it’s about your total appearance, and your skin plays a major part in that. It is very important that you use great skincare products from your soap to your cream. Ask your local vendor to prescribe things for you based on your skin colour.
