Here’s a guide on how to style your chinos:

The first thing to note is that there are two types of chinos: Formal and Casual chinos.

There is slightly much difference between these two except that

Formal chinos are made of cotton twill instead of wool, with extended tab waistband closures, front slant pockets, back welt pockets with button closures, optional pleats, centre creases, and cuffs.

Casual chinos, on the other hand, tend to look like a regular denim with standard side pockets, back patch pockets, rivets or bar-tacked stress points, flat felled seams, and standard hem.

Shoes to Wear with Chinos

Loafers
Deciding which type of loafers to pair with your chinos is very simple, just remember to keep it dark, or preferably brown. These shoes work best when paired with slim fit chinos and a casual shirt.

Brogues
For a formal look, you can’t go wrong with brown brogues or oxfords as both can be teamed with a variety of colours. Those who prefer the chinos to sit naturally can also opt for an equally stylish Brogue Boot.

Trainers
For a more casual look, you can pair your chinos with a classic trainer. This look is perfect for anyone who spends most of the day on his feet. The best thing about choosing trainers is that they work well with both light and dark Chinos.
