It is no news that Nigerian Afro-pop superstar, Wizkid (Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun), is often described by his first two baby mamas as a “deadbeat dad”. Now, his third baby mama, Jada
Pollock has accused him of domestic violence.

Jada Pollock, who also doubles his manage announced that she would no longer be working with him and declared that she is tired of covering up for the superstar, who “continuously puts his hand on me, leaves me with bruises…You can support someone as much as you can but at some point, you have to value yourself. I can’t raise my son in this kind of environment.”

The Jollof effect

The Nigerian Jollof rice has a grand reputation so that it is no longer just a Nigerian delight but a
delicacy that even international superstars have a craving for. Multi-talented British singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran, has joined a growing list of international superstars who have expressed a wish to taste our Jollof. He said, “I’ve got to get back to Africa. After the tour, I want to go and chill out there. I was in Ghana a few years back and I loved it. Now I need to go to Nigeria. I heard the jollof rice is really good there.”

A popular Davido fan, Shoki Shitta, pleaded with Davido to give him more money after saying that the N1million that he received in May finished after he shared it. This revelation sparked
conversations around the idea of giving with some accusing him of not applying wisdom like
another fan who used his N1million to purchase a tricycle (Keke Napep.) It should be recalled that Davido gave Shoki this sum after he was assaulted by alleged fans of Wizkid.

Danger app?

While there is a lot of excitement about viral FaceApp, it appears it may pose more dangers than the effect people seek. Like many other apps, it is not clear what happens to all the data you give it and it is believed that the company’s privacy policy leaves a fair amount of wriggle room. Some of its access includes automatic recording of “your web request, Internet Protocol address,
browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links
on the Service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.”

The multiple Grammy award-winning songstress while discussing what she describes as a “love letter to Africa” said she wanted to ensure that she worked with the best from Africa and not just sample sounds from Africa.
