“Like A Virgin” crooner Madonna has come under blast after she shared a video of her son dancing to “stamp out racism.”

Madonna shared the video of her teenage son David Banda dancing to a Michael Jackson hit in a tribute to “all Acts of Racism and Discrimination.”

61-year old Madonna’s son danced to Jackson’s ‘They Don’t Care About Us’ in the kitchen with Madonna writing that this was in tribute to George Floyd.

George Floyd died on May 25  in Minneapolis following an arrest that was caught on video. The video showed a police officer kneeling on his neck as he cried out: ‘I can’t breathe’.

The incident has led to the firing of the four officers at the scene with an investigation underway by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Following Floyd’s death, there have also been protests against police brutality in the United States.

The Grammy award-winning singer captioned the video that was shared on Twitter:

“Brutal murder travels around the world my son David Dances to honor and pay tribute to George and His Family and all Acts of Racism and Discrimination that happen on a daily basis in America. #davidbanda#JusticeforGeorgeFloyd#MichaelJackson “

Many followers of the songstress have since slammed her for what they consider an insensitive response to Floyd’s death.

April Ryan, a political reporter and the creator of the #OscarsSoWhite campaign wrote:

“Nobody asked Madonna to weigh in today. Not a soul. Unforced errors among public figures have been rampant this month.”
