Keanu Reeves’ “Matrix 4” And “John Wick 4” To Be Released On The Same Day

2020 is a year to look forward to for film enthusiasts as Canadian actor Keanu Reeves would be going head to head against himself in the cinemas as John Wick in the action film of the same title and Neo in “Matrix 4”.

Warner Bros. announced Wednesday that the untitled fourth instalment in the Matrix franchise will hit theatres on May 21, 2021, putting it in a head-to-head match-up with John Wick: Chapter 4.

In Matrix 4, the now 55 years old Keanu will return as Neo. Meanwhile, Jada Pinkett Smith and Carrie-Anne Moss are set to reprise their roles as Niobe and Trinity respectively.

John Wick’s release date was announced back in May 2019 after the third instalment John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum knocked Avengers: Endgame from the number one spot at the box office and raked in $57 million (£43.3 million) during opening weekend.

See below some of the reactions to what is now termed as Keanu Reeves day:

Keanu Reeves gained fame for his starring roles in several blockbuster films, including comedies from the Bill and Ted franchise (1989–present); action thrillers Point Break (1991), Speed (1994), and the John Wick franchise (2014–present); psychological thriller The Devil’s Advocate (1997); supernatural action horror Constantine (2005); and science fiction/action series The Matrix (1999–present). He has also appeared in dramatic films such as Dangerous Liaisons (1988), My Own Private Idaho (1991), and Little Buddha (1993), as well as the romantic horror Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992).
