Kaffy Condemns Naira Marley’s ‘Soapy’ Dance As Immoral And Disgusting

Nigerian dance queen, Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau better known as  Kaffy has taken to Instagram to rubbish the new trending dance, ‘soapy dance’ popularised by Nigerian singer, Naira Marley.

The Guinness World Record holder is of the opinion that the dance move should be banned for its disgusting, graphic and immoral nature which she said is not even censored from kids.

The controversial dance step, Soapy, seemed to display a person pleasuring himself and this has led to widespread criticism on social media.

Reacting to the dance step, she wrote,

“I am sorry; I can’t take this. I have never seen a more disgusting, immoral dance like the so-called Soapy. It should never be encouraged. I am really disappointed.

“As dancers we should speak for what is right. We shouldn’t encourage this for the sake of trending especially when it is not even censored from kids. To an adult, it is even offensive. Rubbish!”

It would be recalled that Naira Marley recently secured his release from jail after he was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in connection to cybercrime popularly known as yahoo yahoo. His arrest came on the heels of his vocal support of internet fraudsters, known as yahoo boys on social media. In one of his controversial posts, he asked fans to pray for yahoo boys as they make money circulate in the economy. He also said that those who understand the history of slavery will understand that yahoo yahoo is not a crime. Naira Marley went on to release a song titled, “Am I A Yahoo Boy”

His stance on yahoo yahoo also caused online altercations between him and fellow entertainers, Simi and Ruggedman. Ruggedman who is also a police ambassador cautioned the younger artist about airing such views and following Naira Marley’s arrest, many fans pointed fingers at Ruggedman for having a hand in the arrest.
