The event which was organised by Dolapo Ajayi and themed 6th Degree Of Sound to represent its sixth reincarnation featured six jazz artists paying homage to great jazz legends…

To celebrate the International Jazz Day, Satchmo’s Lagos Jazz Café held its annual Jazz festival at the MUSON Centre Lagos on the 30th of April, 2018. The event which was organised by Dolapo Ajayi and themed 6th Degree Of Sound to represent its sixth reincarnation featured six jazz artists paying homage to great jazz legends around the world.

Sax Tee Doing His Thing

Amongst the artists who stepped on the stage for this celebration were Sax Tee, Femi Leye, Etuk Ubong, Kwitee and Y-Pick who played hits from a songbook that included songs from legends like Miles Davis, Carlos Santana, George Benson, Ella Fitzgerald, Grover Washington and Louis Armstrong.

Staying true to the elite theme that Jazz is often associated with, the black-tie event that featured wine tasting and the art of fine dining, which created an ambience that was perfectly suited for the evening.
