End Of Chanel And Fendi?
Prominent German fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld is dead. It is gathered that the late designer who was the creative director for Chanel and Fendi died in a Paris hospital in France. Lagerfeld who was one of the fashion industry’s most prolific figures until his death is reported to have been sick for several weeks. It would be recalled that when Lagerfield had missed two of Chanel’s haute couture Paris shows, the fashion company only said at the time he was feeling tired. He was 85.
Baba Suwe Down
Popular Nigerian comic actor, Baba Suwe is down with chronic diabetes. In the wake of the news of the actor’s failing health going public, colleagues and fans have rallied together to raise cash for him to undergo necessary treatment. Fellow actor, Yomi Fabiyi in an update to the situation has revealed that millions of naira have been raised for Baba Suwe’s treatment in less than 48 hours. According to Fabiyi, the actor is also suffering from some ailments including stroke. However, he thanked Nigerians including colleagues, Iyabo Ojo and Liz Anjorin who have raised cash for Baba Suwe.
Uyo Meyo, Teni
Teni The Entertainer (real name: Teni Apata) has become Africa’s first YouTube Artist On The Rise. Artist On The Rise is YouTube’s strategy to promote new artistes in their trending tabs. What this implies is that her song Case will be promoted by YouTube on its US trending page, ads and event appearance. Another artiste who has become a YouTube focus in recent times is Burna Boy. In October, his award-winning song Ye off the Outside album, was played on the big screens at Times Square, New York.
Between Davido And A Girl
Davido became the centre of conversation after a girl identified as Lolo accused him of selling his soul. Comparing him to his colleague, Wizkid, she accused him of selling his soul to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. In response, he body-shamed her. Some, arguing in his favour, said that he was insulted first and no one can decide how he should respond while others criticised him. In a 5-page apology note, he wrote that he was “furious” about the allegation and reminded fans he has worked hard to be reduced to one who sold his soul. Lolo rejected his apology.
Celebrity family feud
Former Tinsel stars and lovebirds, Gbenro Ajibade and Osas Ighodaro appear to be having cracks over their child’s upbringing after Ajibade accused his wife of having fun without the company of their two-year-old daughter, Azariah Tiwatope Osarugue Ajibade. Ajibade who once said that one of his hobbies was carrying the child on his back is visibly angry with his Ighadoro leaving the child in the care of a nanny. He wrote on his Instagram stories that she drops their child with a “stranger” to give to the nanny putting her in danger.
