Friends of George Clooney are living examples of this saying. George Clooney, it has been revealed, gave a group of his friends called The Boys one million dollars each in 2013 to thank them for helping him.

A source and one of The Boys, Rande Gerber, said George called him sometime in 2013 and said, ‘Hey, mark 27 September 2013, on your calendar. Everyone’s going to come to my house for dinner’.
When The Boys arrived, they (the 14 of them) were surprised to see that George had dropped a thank you for helping me suitcase containing one million dollars in $20 notes for each of them on the table. George explained that he gave the money so that they “don’t have to worry about your kids, you don’t have to worry about, you know, school, you don’t have to worry about paying your mortgage”
