Review: Thursdays At The Harvest
Every brand has a strategy and The Harvest drew me in with their promise of an endless flow of tequila every Thursday. Located at Block 26, Plot 10 Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, it offers a relaxed environment for a date with friends. It also features genres of music that make you forget the crazy energy that Lagos possesses.
It offers various seating arrangements from the indoor high table and chair to the sofa arrangement. There is also an outdoor space with a pool area for all the guests. When it comes to the type of intimacy you’d like to achieve in this space, The Harvest will leave you spoiled for choice.
The menu is a little on the high side which limited me on that day. My first choice was a chicken shawarma, but it wasn’t available, so I had to settle for the chicken wings and potato wedges.
It didn’t take so long for the meal to get to me, which was good considering the crowd at the space. Yet, I wasn’t impressed with the fact that I paid N3,000 for six pieces of wings. The wedges were a decent price compared to the wings. Yet, it was a hit or miss experience as I dipped my wedges in ketchup because some were not properly fried. Size and number aside, the wings were well done and the sauce they came in was perfectly spiced. For a moment, I wasn’t bothered by the size and number of the wings.
This meal went very well with the tequila shots. Will I be going back to The Harvest? Definitely! There are so many things to try on their menu and, although the meals will put a dent in your wallet, I have a feeling it will be worth it.
