Oh, Café Jade! I fell in love with this boutique café from the wooden doors and the white walls that housed it.

Located at 7 Caroline Atounah Street, the café is tucked in the busy streets of Lekki Phase one and is ideal for lunch dates and chilled workspaces. They provided their WiFi password once I opened up my tab to work.

I was almost dissuaded from coming to Café Jade but something about their images online made me feel like this was the right space to have brunch while I was between meetings. The décor of the space is very intimate. Downstairs they have beautifully designed frames on the walls, and a sitting arrangement that suits you if you are set to work and a big window that gives you an okay view of the compound. They also have a space upstairs which I opted for, because why not? And I was not disappointed by this choice. It was adequately lit and the sitting arrangement was to die for. Velvet couches, cute stools, glass tables and beautifully placed light stands and soul music that made you want to jump into an old Hollywood movie. I ordered a spicy chicken wrap and a frozen strawberry extreme.

The waiter assured me that my order will come in 15 minutes to which it did. The strawberry extreme was a delight to have. Although the glass cup was too small for the amount of the drink, I kept on sipping to make sure that it didn’t pour. I am of the opinion that you can’t go wrong with strawberry and they delivered.

The spicy chicken wrap came in the time frame the waiter said and I was pleased to see that it came with chips, which made me feel like I was having my money’s worth. The spicy chicken wrap was really spicy and was divided into two! Finally, a restaurant that delivers on the spicy they promised. The wrap, vegetables and the chicken went beautifully together and I had fun eating this meal. It was also very filling as I was ready to give up after the first half of the meal. Literally no complaints whatsoever about brunch at Cafe Jade.

At the end of the day, I will be dragging a lot of people to Café Jade for lunch dates or just working out from the space while I’m in Lekki.

Price
Spicy chicken wrap – 2500
Strawberry extreme – 2500
