Tucked away on a drive in Lekki Phase One is the beautifully designed MINT by Eat Green Company. Eating at this space was the perfect combination of having a spontaneous early dinner with a strong recommendation from a friend. Entering into the space, you’re quickly drawn to the beautiful space and the thought process invested in it. Dimly lit and the perfect spot to catch up on old gossip and maybe have a date night, MINT is located at 33 Grace Anjous Drive, Lekki Phase One.

I opened the menu and I was impressed with the fact that their meals were not ‘Island’ expensive. As I said earlier the restaurant was recommended especially for their spicy chicken noodle (stir fry) and that’s what I ordered with a cold press juice that I really shouldn’t have settled for.

My order came in at a decent time and I was impressed by the meal. I believe they hinted at the fact that all their meals are freshly prepared and I can attest to that, especially for the veggies in the food. The spicy chicken noodles meal is basically egg noodles sauteed with grilled chicken, fresh vegetables and spices. They delivered on the fresh vegetables but not so much on the grilled chicken as I didn’t taste it while eating. The waitress asked if I wanted the meal extra spicy and I said yes, they delivered on the spices but that extra chilli kick was missing and that was the only thing I could fault this meal for.

The cold-pressed orange juice summed up my cold-pressed juice experience all around the world as I wouldn’t be venturing towards that side of town anymore. The meal would definitely have gone better with some sweet red wine.

MINT is the perfect place to unwind after the stress of ‘adulting’. It motivates good conversations and assures healthy food. If you have any expectations from a meal, I suggest that you are specific so you have no complaints afterwards. Asides that, I’d definitely go back for a late lunch or date night and this time remember to take awesome selfies with the wooden design on/in the wall.
