Cocktail Reviews
Nothing beats the feeling of kicking it back with your girls or guys over cocktails. Lagos has a variety of lounges, bars and places that offer a wide range of cocktails, which are often great when you’re not in the mood to drink hard liquor. So next time you’re looking for a spot for awesome cocktails, check one of these places out!
Moscow Mule by HSE Cafe
This drink is definitely one of our favourite Lagos-made cocktails. Tastes just like it should. The spicy kick the ginger gives is everything you need on a hot Lagos day. The cute mug also makes for the best Instagram picture or selfie.
Guavarita at Nok Alara
This drink is perfect for guava lovers, it tastes quite tropical with some guava nectar, a slight hint of peach and usually some rum or tequila. Sometimes the drink is finished up with a dash of chilli peppers on the rim of the glass. It’s a bit odd and spicy but it’s also a fantastic pick!
Jolly Rancher at Scratch
If you ever had a hard jolly rancher candy as a kid, then you’ll love this vodka based drink as an adult! It is usually a simple mix of apple vodka, peach schnapps, and cranberry. It all combines for a refreshing, tall drink that can easily take you back in time and give you a bit of nostalgia.
Amaretto Sour at Crossroads Restaurant
This has to be one of our top picks, you can find this cocktail in most bars and they almost never go wrong. The drink is usually made up of amaretto and lemon juice, which gives it that sour taste. Be careful because at some point you might forget that you’re actually drinking alcohol!
The Hennyberry at 355 Bar
This number is a super easy-going drink, which tastes awesome and you can definitely make it yourself. It comprises of Hennessy and a berry juice and sometimes pineapple juice, with some ice. The combination might sound simple but the mixture is perfect for people who aren’t heavy drinkers.
