Top 6 Trends From S/S16 Womenswear Collections At Milan Fashion Week
Being in the scene during fashion season is probably the best thing you can do for your wardrobe. Tweaking your sense of style a bit and recreating looks is certainly good for you.
Milan Fashion Week ended yesterday and these are the top 6 trends that caught our eye.
Dolce & Gabanna rounded up their show with the models taking selfies on stage. Guess which Nigerian Designer pulled this stunt already? Looks like we have a new trend for closing shows.
Household Name Models.
Having Naomi Campbell on your catwalk is a banner signing. Peter Dundas, the designer at Pucci, had almost a football team of supermodels at his show: Naomi was joined by Isabeli Fontana, Joan Smalls, Natasha Poly, Malaika Firth, MariaCarla Boscono and Kendall Jenner.
Gucci featured jewel-encrusted glasses so big the models were all rubbing their tiny noses backstage. At Emilio Pucci the oversized eyewear resembled scuba masks. Dolce and Gabbana gave the look a 1950’s twist. Voctoria Beckham has been right all along.
The visible nipple count hit a new high as the likes of Anna Molinari at Blumarine embraced tops so see-through they begged the question: “Really?” Giamba deployed strategic stars and hearts to keep things demure. This trend has been here forever.
Nigerian ladies have been pulling this stunt with the aid of edge control, gel and brushes, guess it found it’s way to the runway in Milan, this is definitely one trend we love.
Coats And Jackets.
Every lady needs a jacket or coat she can easily put on. So the introduction of the bomber jackets and the the long coats are only well appreciated.
