Aliyu who was honoured in a grand investiture thanked the organisation for the opportunity to serve and the confidence reposed in her to pilot the affairs of NACCIMA, as its 20th National President for the next two years. She promised to continue in the tradition of excellence by strengthening the body’s secretariat and reinforcing staff capabilities.

Former head of state, General Abdulsalam Abubakar, led dignitaries to honour Aliyu at the inauguration. Abubakar, who was Chairman of the Investiture Ceremony, congratulated Aliyu and thanked NACCIMA for honouring her.

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello said NACCIMA made a good choice in Aliyu who will take the association to greater heights under her leadership. Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State wished Aliyu a successful tenure saying he was at home in Kaduna where he grew up.

Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar assured Aliyu of his support, stating that having performed well as Kaduna Chamber president, she will do even better as National President of NACCIMA, urging her to build on the success of the immediate past president and make the association greater.

Plateau State Governor, Dr. Solomon Lalong, advised Aliyu to focus on making Nigeria a truly but viable zero oil nation through agriculture. Governor Mallam Nasir El Rufai congratulated Aliyu and said his government acknowledges the role of the private sector as that of valuable partners in development. El-Rufai, who was represented by Prof. Kabiru Matu, welcomed the delegates across Nigeria to Kaduna.

Iyalode Alaba Lawson who handed over to Aliyu after a successful two-year tenure as its 19th and first female president, prayed for wisdom, knowledge and understanding for Aliyu to steer the ship of NACCIMA.

Giving the vote of thanks, Ide John Udeagbala, who is the First Vice-President, thanked all serving and past members, dignitaries and guests for making the investiture a success.

Aliyu, a graduate of Education from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, having served the association for almost three decades, said the completion of Abuja towers would be of utmost priority during her two-year tenure.
