Canadian rapper and Grammy-award winning “God’s Plan” hitmaker, Drake, definitely didn’t have it in his plans to get cut off during his 2019 Grammy award win’s acceptance speech.

The outspoken rapper who clearly had a lot to say after winning his latest Grammy got cut off before he was done with his remarks.

Drizzy, as he is fondly called by fans, was still talking about how one doesn’t need a Grammy after winning “Best Rap Song” when the mic was cut off toward the tail end of his acceptance speech. It appeared he was cut off by the show showrunners sent the telecast to a commercial break.

Many fans and viewers have since been buzzing that the timing was awkward considering it appeared that  Drake was dissing the Grammys about not being important. In his speech, he told fellow artists that as long as people were shelling out for their shows, they were already winning because that’s all that matters at the end of the day.

He seemed to be done with that train of thought and took a long pause, but then suddenly he tried launching into a new subject with a “but.” Unfortunately, the cameras had already started to zoom out signalling that the show was going to cut a break. Drake didn’t get to finish his thoughts.

Watch the video of him getting cut off below:

It would be recalled that the multiple Grammy award-winning rapper reportedly declined to perform at this year’s award show, but was willing to show face to collect his award.
