Danny Young Calls Waje A Legend
Nigerian singer, Danny Young has called vocal powerhouse, Waje a legend in his reaction to her announcement that she is contemplating quitting music.
We reported earlier that the songstress said her music career is not yielding enough funds for her financial needs hence her thought to quit music.
Reacting to this, however, Danny Young showered praises on her and labeled her a legend with enough talent to remain in the industry for as long as she wants.
Taking to his Instagram page, he wrote that whether she quits or not, her talent is undeniable as he has personally seen things in her perspective. He also advised her to do what was best for her but if the people want her to stay then they should fix the system.
Danny Young then went on to highlight how hard it is to survive in the Nigerian music industry with all the money that is required to record a song, drop a video and still do promotion. According to him, music is business first because when an artist ends up failing, it is still the same fans constantly asking for new music that will call out the artist for being a failure.
Danny Young in his post went further to slam the music industry saying it is no longer based on merit as to get airplay is now determined by who has the fattest pocket and not talent. He also alleged that the industry is run by cabals who have no talent but have enough power to frustrate those with actual talent.
Concluding his post, Danny Young advocated for unity of Nigerian artists as he stated that he believes this is how the cabals can be fought and the system can be changed.
