Amid accusations of sexual molestation, R. Kelly has at least one reason to smile as he has seemingly won one case against him.

It has been learnt that embattled singer, R. Kelly will not be charged for allegedly giving a woman a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

According to a report by celebrity gossip site, police in Dallas closed their investigation after Dallas PD looked into allegations the singer gave an anonymous young woman an STD.

The allegation is that he allegedly held her captive as a sex slave in 2017. Back in 2018, the woman filed a police report claiming she met Kelly in Dallas the year before. In her allegation, she claimed he restrained her, plied her with alcohol and drugs and gave her an unspecified STD.

Her attorney, Lee Merritt, had said the woman planned to file a civil suit against Kelly as well.

It is however now reported that no charges will be brought against Kelly in connection to the case although it has not yet been stated why the conclusion was reached. As at the time of filing this report, Merritt is yet to issue a statement concerning the development.

It is noteworthy that Kelly is currently being investigated by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in GA  and the State Attorney in Chicago has made a plea for any witnesses or victims to come forward. This is based off the sexual allegations levelled against the singer in the Lifetime docuseries, “Surviving R. Kelly” which aired recently.

Kelly who threatened legal action against Lifetime for the docuseries that he said painted him in a bad light is reportedly working with his team to launch a website, “Surviving Lies” to tell his side of the story. Although the website is not yet live, there is already a Facebook page with the same name.

We also reported earlier how, Carey Kelly, R. Kelly’s younger brother in an interview with “Unwine With Tasha K” revealed that he and the singer were abused and molested as children by their older sister, Theresa.
