A long time ago, I was of the opinion that self help or motivational books were a drag. Reading Think And Grow Rich , I wonder why I was ever of that opinion. This motivational book by Napoleon Hill is well written and constantly makes you smile with the conversational way to which the author makes you understand the principles written in the book.

Based on his mission which was a suggestion from business magnate and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, he dedicated more than 20 years to profile successful men in order to write the laws on success, Napoleon tells a story that inspires and gives every one a fighting chance in the quest for success.

It’s outline are the 13 principles which form the “Philosophy of Achievement” which I believe you should find for yourself.

This is everything that I have learnt from reading Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

Do not be surprised, they are all quotes because Napoleon wrote this book dripping with  them.

“A quitter never wins-and-a winner never quits.”

“More gold had been mined from the mind of men than the earth it self”

“If you do not conquer self, you will be conquered by self.”

“There are no limitations to the mind except those that we acknowledge.”

“The starting point of all achievement is DESIRE. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desire brings weak results, just as a small fire makes a small amount of heat.”

“You are the master of your destiny. You can influence, direct and control your own environment. You can make your life what you want it to be.”

“When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.”

“You’ve got to be sure of yourself before you can ever win a prize.”

“We refuse to believe that which we don’t understand.”
