By now, social media users especially those on Twitter are familiar with the name, Santorini. Santorini’s fascinating feature lies in the white buildings making it arguably one of the whitest islands you have ever seen. It is of little wonder that the island attracts over 1.5 million tourists annually.
Santorini island is in the southeast region of Greece. It is also the largest island of a small, circular archipelago and the remains of the Akrotiri Minoan city that was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in 1613 BC.

Low Budget Holiday

Why else you would get attracted to Santorini if not for the amazing view it boasts of. Here is where the blue skies meet white buildings giving it a rare real-life experience of serenity and adventure. Due to its amazing view, one would think that it must cost a million. However, this is far from it as you can get hotels that cost less than N10,000 a night. You can also get fresh meals and seafood that cost almost nothing.

If you are looking to spend a romantic getaway and hope to one of the most memorable sunsets with offerings of orange skies, Santorini is the place. Also, you can walk along the moonlit places in Oia or better still, enjoy your stay at the surrounding beaches.
