The report of Aretha Franklin’s ill health and critical condition has brought attention to fans and music makers.

Beyonce and Jay-Z paid tribute to Franklin, they opened the On the Run II Tour performance at Ford Field by dedicating the show to Franklin.

In a touching note, Beyonce said, ” We love you and thank you for all the beautiful music.”

They are not the only stars to honour her. DJ Khaled during his performance honoured her by asking the crowd of thousands of people to send some love to Aretha Franklin before he spun her hit song “Respect”.

It is indeed a difficult time for her family who have asked for prayers and privacy at this time.

In spite of the imminent danger to the decline of her health, one can only hope she pulls through.

The 76-year-old Franklin has experienced a decline in her health for a few years. She last performed in November at an Elton John AIDS Foundation event in New York.
