Supermodel Bella Hadid is the latest celebrity to donate towards the Malibu recovery in the wake of the California wildfire’s destructive path.

The fire which has posed a looming threat of mudslides triggered by the ravaging inferno has destroyed many homes and as part of her effort to combat it, she has donated 3,615,000.00 naira ($10 thousand) to the Malibu Disaster Prevention & Relief Fund.

The GoFundMe page is spearheaded by the Point Dume Bomberos (Firefighters) who need the money to pack sandbags, buy pool pumps, generators, respirators, cleanup materials and other tools.

It is learnt that rain could arrive sometime next week and fire officials have said fast-moving mudslides possibly like the catastrophic one in Montecito earlier this year could be powerful enough to bring down trees and tons of other debris.

For Bella, this is a personal danger because not only did she lose her Montecito home in January from devastating floods, the area where she went to high school has also been decimated. The Woolsey fire’s killed at least two people and burned nearly 100k acres and more than 400 structures.

Bella’s not the only celeb pitching in to help Malibu get back on its feet as the likes of Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Sean Astin, Jon Favreau and Patton Oswalt have also donated to a similar cause.
