Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, all aspects of human life have been severely affected and the global economy crippled. The tourism industry, which was one of the biggest markets in the world, was not left out as the global pandemic halted mobility, hereby causing mobility restriction, flight bans, as part of efforts to contain the spread of the pandemic.

More often than not, Dubai is suggested to travellers as one of the world’s most unique tourism destinations with unquantifiable sightseeing attractions, deservedly so. The city has countless cultural highlights and mind-blowing activities.

Reckoned as one of the most diverse and international cities in the world, Dubai has become a truly global destination, with its huge diversity in religion, restaurants, language schools, and cultural events, wonderful offers, and indoor attractions.

One of the major reasons tourists flock to Dubai is undoubtedly its reputation for world-class shopping. The city’s malls and marketplaces carry an impressive range of goods and attract millions of visitors year in, year out. Some of the outdoor activities that capture the city’s boisterous positioning includes; Dubai Shopping Festival in January and February, the Dubai Summer Surprises Festival in July and August, Maritime Heritage at Dubai Creek & Al Seef District, Formula Ones.

Dubai’s Parks and Resorts have been designed in a way that embraces both Eastern and Western culture like no other entertainment complex. The theme parks offer something for all ages. Bollywood Park is the Disneyland of the Indian film industry, with rides based on some of the more popular films.

Motion gate takes a leaf out of Universal Studios playbook with rides based on Tinseltown’s major blockbusters. Legoland Dubai caters for young visitors, with interactive rides to entertain the little ones. While the area is a must-visit for tourists, they also have annual passes available for locals.

Dubai features some of the world’s most lavish hotels, with the 7-star rated Burj Al Arab, which is considered the best of a very impressive lot. The hotel which opened its doors in 1999, has evolved into a truly iconic symbol of Dubai. Visitors flock to the hotel, while locals admire a truly remarkable building that they can be proud of. It is located on its very own artificial island, with a private bridge connecting it to the mainland. The hotel features a self-owned fleet of Rolls Royce cars for visitors, as well as a private helipad for helicopter owners.
Famed as a core city of attraction and tourism in the world with many audacious projects in store, Dubai ranks among the world’s most cosmopolitan cities and the diversity is second to none.
