It’s a “healthy hello” from Adele in 2020 as she is not turning tables but turning heads in the New Year with her new figure.

The multiple Grammy award-winning singer has had tongues wagging since first debuting her new figure at a Christmas Party late last year.

Her dramatic weight loss continues to generate conversation as many wonder why the singer decided to lose weight.

The reason behind her action may have been answered according to a report by PEOPLE.

The magazine reports that Adele who was sported on vacation with fellow Brits Harry Styles and James Corden during the week leading into and after New Year’s told a fan why she decided to lose so much weight.

A 19-year-old college student Lexi Larson told the publication that she met Adele while the star was dining at an Anguilla restaurant.

“At first we barely even recognised her because she lost so much weight,” says 19-year-old fan Lexi Larson. “She told us she lost something like 100 lbs., and that it’s such a crazy positive experience.”

Lexi added that Adele did not want to take a picture with her as Angelo was present at the time, but did bring over Harry to chat to her group of pals in the restaurant.

She revealed that she and a group of pals spoke with the British stars for around 15 minutes and discussed college life and their future plans.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Adele sought the help of the LA-based Brazilian body wizard’, Camila Goodis to achieve her amazing new figure.

Speaking to The Sun, the fitness coach claimed the singer’s weight loss is mostly down to dieting because she doesn’t like exercise. It’s said her huge transformation has been a result of reformer pilates, using weights in the gym, cutting down on sugar and also following The Sirtfood Diet.

A source tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue, on newsstands Friday, that Adele has been maintaining a strict diet and fitness routine of cross-training and full-body Pilates in order to be healthy for herself and her 7-year-old son Angelo, whom she shares with ex Simon Konecki.

“It’s easy to just focus on her physical transformation, but this is really about something bigger,” says an insider. “She got to the point where she didn’t feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mom possible.”

“Her whole focus during the weight loss journey has really how been all about how she can be healthier and how can she treat her body better,” the insider continues. “It was never about losing weight. Her weight loss happened because she has cut down drinking and is eating more real food. But she now loves her physical transformation too. She is more confident, dresses differently and she just seems happier overall.”

As Adele gears up to release new music in 2020, the source says she is “happy and excited about the future.”

“She is a new woman with the same great sense of humor,” the source adds. “She loves her friends and feels a great deal of confidence.”
