The 2019 Academy Awards is set to make history after coming out of a controversy involving its would-be host, Kevin Hart.

People who are keen on the Oscars are familiar with the debacle involving American comedian, Kevin Hart and his old “joke” about the LGBTQ community.

Hart was given a choice by the Academy: to apologise again to the community or step down. He chose the latter. After being invited to Ellen DeGeneres’s (who by the way belongs to the community) show, the issue peaked again with some calling the liberal host as a betrayer of the community. He, however, apologised a second time.

As a result of this, the Academy has made a new decision: to have the Oscars without a host for the first time in 30 years.

Variety reveals that the organisers and producers are working on having several A-listers to prerecord skits and introduce categories and segments.
