Nigeria has many natural landmarks and wildlife reserves. Many of these places are sure to leave visitors breathing hard with suspense and excitement. Here are some hidden gems Nigeria has to offer:

Ogba Ukwu Caves and Waterfalls, Anambra State

Considered the largest cave in West Africa, it forms a deep and complex rock formation with roomy compartments large enough to take in an entire village.

Though the storey building in Badagry is often regarded as the first storey building in Nigeria, the Gobarau Minaret is a Timbuktu style architecture of baked clay constructed over 300 years ago.

Agbele Rock Formation

This naturally occurring rock formation resembles a woman backing a baby, with a basket on her head. Folk legend explains it as a figure of a woman who stole yams from a rocky part of the village where yams are left to dry in the sun and, as punishment, turned into a rock.

These hills are found in a small village in the southern part of Zaria called Turunku where Queen Amina ruled the Zau Zau empire. Among the numerous rocks and hills is a peculiar rock carved in the form of a seat. Legend has it that Queen Amina sat on this rock watching over her people and making strategic war plans.
