When Mogulettes connect!
“Women play a lot of vital roles in the society, they work purposefully to balance their career, homes and ministry and, as such, need some time out to unwind, refresh and connect with other women in business. And Mogulettes Hangout is one of the platforms to achieve that.”
This statement was made by the convener at a recently-concluded “Mogulettes Hangout”, a networking and learning platform where young entrepreneurs met with some of their mentors at Othello Lounge, Victoria Island.
The quarterly event is an empowerment initiative of Mogulettes Africa, an online social community and lifestyle magazine that celebrates African women Moguls, support young women start-ups till they become influential and mentors the girl-child, too. The entrepreneurial group was founded in 2016 by Miss Pat Obilor, a broadcaster and CEO of Sparkles Media group.
The event was attended by top women in the business and media world such as Mercy Makinde, the CEO of IAspire Radio and founder of Amazing Amazons Initiative. In her words: “An entitlement mentality cannot sustain you, it is your job to take responsibility for your life.”
The event also played host to Debbie Odutayo, Executive director, Royalroots Conglomerate, owners of R2TV Lagos and R2Fm Ibadan, Temitope Olagbegi, CEO, Sixth Sense Interiors,
Mary Ikoku, founder Working Moms Africa and CEO Access media, Bukola Asafa, CEO, Oba Couture, and Morenike Molehin, CEO, Oak & Teak Limited. The Mogulettes Hangout train moves to Ibadan May 27, where young female entrepreneurs are waiting to be inspired and ignited for the pursuit of their entrepreneurial purpose.
