Breaking News:

What are you manifesting today?

More recently, in a 2018 interview, Katherine Schwarzenegger was asked to choose between Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, or Chris Hemsworth. While she first said Chris Evans she quickly changed her answer to:

All the way back in 1998, Alex Rodriguez was asked, “What would a dream date with Alex Rodriguez be?”
He said: “Jennifer Lopez. Hopefully you can find me a date with her.”

She was dating P Diddy then.
In 2020, ARod and JLo are engaged.
Similarly, Halsey tweeted about wanting to date Evan Peters back in 2013:
“Petition for Evan Peters to date me.”

In 2020, Halsey and Evan Peters are an item.
More recently, in a 2018 interview, Katherine Schwarzenegger was asked to choose between Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, or Chris Hemsworth. While she first said Chris Evans she quickly changed her answer to:

“Actually a Chris Pratt. Chris Pratt has been looking good lately.”
A year later in 2019 they announced their engagement.

If you think these manifestations are too good to be true, just check Buzzfeed.
It’s not only in romance that celebrities seem to get their hearts’ desires. Many have, according to the online publication, made career dreams come true.

Ed Sheeran for example. In 2011, he tweeted about his “big plans” and how he just needed a few years.
One month after his tweet, he released his debut album +, and the rest is history.
You might think this is the result of sheer hard work and of course you might be right.

How about actor Tom Holland? In 2013, he was asked what superhero he would want to play, and he said this:
“Maybe Spiderman, in like ten years’ time… The reboot of the reboot, if they made one.”

The reboot of the reboot was fast-tracked, and he started playing the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in 2016 — three years later, instead of 10.
How about Demi Lavato? The singer tweeted about singing the national anthem at a Super Bowl one day all the way back in 2010.

Spoiler alert: ten years later there she was singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl.
Then there is Lizzo who in 2016 tweeted out her New Year’s Resolutions, one of them being coconut oil.
Exactly a year later she tweeted this:

“Y’all when I made these resolutions last year I had NO IDEA I’d have a project called ‘Coconut Oil’. Manifest your life— I believe in you!”
Now you may think it’s a Twitter trick – put your wildest dreams out there in a well-packaged tweet and give it five to ten years and voila, they come true.

You may also think it’s hard work. After all, there’s no denying that, as much as they make it look more like fun and games, celebrities work hard for movie and record deals, magazine covers, Oscars and Grammys.

Then there’s of course no denying that once you’ve made it you can probably get “your people” to talk to “their people” to arrange a dream date and the rest is history. Take David and Victoria Beckham, for example; it all began with David seeing a photo of Spice Girls in a magazine and asking about the brunette. A few phone calls and it was a date.

There’s however another important factor in all this: the power of the mind to put out into the universe what it wants and the power of the universe to deliver.

Have you ever had a moment in your life when something good happened to you and you vaguely remembered actually wishing for it or even speaking of it? My life is filled with such moments…

I remember attending my cousin’s high school graduation as a nine-year-old and fascinated by the American style pomp and circumstance turning around to my mum to say, “I will attend this school.” My mum laughed at the thought of me, then an average primary school student, aspiring to attend the most prestigious school who only admitted the top 100 creme de lâ creme every year.

Two years of hard work and harder wishing it into reality, there I was in my school uniform, attending the very school I had so desired.
Since then it has happened without fail. If I really want something I speak it into existence and I know some day, when the time is right, the universe will deliver it.

Two months into the new year, the new decade. As we plod on and persevere towards our goals, why not take a minute today and speak your heart’s desires? You don’t have go tweet it or even tell it to a single soul but tell yourself and tell the universe. Who knows? In a month or a year or a decade’s time, you may be in your dream house, at your dream job or on your dream date. Worth a try, I say. Go on, manifest today.
