I was in a tricycle (keke) this hot afternoon, thinking of the weather, my destination and the insanity of the commercial bus drivers, when this tall big chested, broad-shouldered guy came on board, as the passenger next to me alighted. Tall and not too fair, his person like the whirlwind took over me and I intermittently steal a look of him as we moved on.

I began to imagines things and could hear my heartbeats triple in seconds, as I looked forward to hearing him talk to me.Sitting close to me with his arms at my back, I just rested on him pretending to be tried. In my mind, I was telling him: “Take me now baby, please don’t let me go!”

Unfortunately this feeling was interjected when a pregnant woman was to come in and ‘my guy’ had to volunteer to sit in front to create space at the back for the expectant mother.

This change of space gave me the privilege to take a good look at him from head to toe; oh, he was fastidious and kindhearted. We finally got to our destination and I never said anything to him. I was of the belief that he is supposed to do the talking; I was of the belief that he must have read my mood and knew I have fallen for him. I did not approach him for the fear of hearing him say: “…I’m loose or he is married or I don’t like girls asking me out and other blah blahs.

Why for heaven’s sake did I hold back? Oh, why!
We sometimes dream or fantasise about the future, but most times we lack the boldness to actualise our dreams. We are too scared of what might come and throw away golden opportunities of attaining our goals. We soon grow cold feet and give up.

Giving up or holding back is a death sentence to success, because adventure favours the brave. Where have you for the fear of the unknown dropped your passion? Go back and work on them. Strive to achieve your desired dream, strive to be the best and never allow fear or failure to weigh you down. Go Shoot That Shot
