She Leads Africa takes SHEHIVE to South Africa

She Leads Africa via their website SheLeadsAfrica.org, create localized content that’s relevant for African women who are trying to build their businesses and careers. They have a network of 80 contributors across the globe and publish 3-5 articles daily. They also create practical workbooks and guides covering a range of business and professional topics

In 2016 they launched and hosted training workshops called SheHive in cities across the world to help community members get the resources they need. In 2016, SLA hosted events in Accra, Abuja, New York, Nairobi, London, Lagos and Johannesburg The boot camps are designed to help young professionals develop their career and business skills, join a community of leaders, and network with mentors and investors.

A few weeks ago, She Leads Africa welcomed more than 100 young African women to a weekend of learning, networking, goal setting and career boosting at SheHive Johannesburg and Cape Town. Participants had the opportunity to meet incredible business leaders and industry leaders as well as rub minds with renowned female business professionals.

Speakers at the boot camp included; Swaady Martin – Founder of YSWARA who shared her advice on taking a business global; Francis Daniels – Investor, who gave a crash course on investing in the stock market and Tania Holt – Partner, McKinsey & Co who shared the latest research on the importance of women leadership in Africa’s corporations.

Through the SheHive country tours, She Leads Africa is committed to encouraging young African women to rise to the top of their various career paths and take charge to attain their professional ambitions. By providing and creating more opportunities for their community, She Leads Africa will continue to connect women to business leaders and liaise with professional experts to provide business and career advice as well as digital trainings for many women around the world.
