Metrowoman entrepreneur of the week: Padebi Ojomo

Padebi Ojomo is a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Coach, Trainer, Consultant, and Speaker.

As a Serial Entrepreneur and Business Growth Expert, she helps small business owners get more customers, close more sales and make a lot more profits so that their business can grow, and they can improve the lives of themselves and their families.

Her love for helping entrepreneurs started in 2006 as she started teaching stay-at-home mums to start a home-based business using the O-P-M (Other Peoples Money) and O-P-T (Other Peoples Time) Model.

She co-founded Purple Signature Limited, the premier interior design school in Nigeria with her husband in 2009. She also was the brain being the Chic Carpenta, the first indigenous online furniture e-commerce store in West Africa.

As a business owner with over 16 years business experience, which spans across different industries, she has helped over a thousand students, NYSC members and women start or grow their business to ₦ 1,000,000 per month mark. She lives in Lagos State with her husband and children.

What ignited the spark in you to start your business venture?

I started this business out of the frustration of staying at home. I have always loved marketing and had over 14 years marketing both online and offline in different areas of the economy.

What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

Tenacity, Innovation, Delayed Gratification.

How did you respond to failure as an entrepreneur?

Failure is a key part of success, so I embrace failure when it comes.
How long do you stick with an idea before giving up?

I really cannot remember giving up on an idea.

Describe your typical day.

I wake up at 3:00 am WAT, pray, meditate, ready, plan my day, prepare breakfast and lunch, wake kids up, get ready for school, do school runs, come back home to start work.

What motivates you?

My children.

How would you define success?

Success is being in my own place, at my own pace, in my own race.
