Ogun NAWORG inaugurates new executives

The Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Business Women Group (NAWORG), recently inaugurated new executives of the Ogun State Chapter with investiture of its patron and matron.

The new executives are Mrs Cynthia Saka, an industrialist as Coordinator; Alhaja Kilani Dawood, 1st Deputy Coordinator; Mrs. Jumoke Akinlolu-Okoya 2nd Deputy Coordinator; Mrs. Ibidunmi Bakare, Financial Secretary; Miss Temitope Kayode-Adedeji, Secretary; Mrs. Krystie Kayode-Ogun, Assistant Secretary; Bolaji Olopade, Public Relations Officer and Alhaja Fatimo Olaleye, Treasurer.

Global Convener of NAWORG Iyalode Alaba Lawson in her speech said the launch of a new Chapter in Ogun State is in recognition of the many industrious women in the State operating in different sectors of the economy, in pursuing the mandate of the group, which is to empower women to contribute to the economy, nation building and women inclusion in decision making.

The coordinator of Ogun NAWORG, Mrs. Cynthia Saka, said women have been able to impact their lives and economics positively and can achieve more while working together, pooling resources together, sharing experiences and networking positively.

Saka said Ogun State Chapter of NAWORG would impact in greatest measures on the lives of the citizens of Ogun State and to its development.

Prof. Helen Bodunde of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta called on women to explore opportunities in Agribusiness and Prof Modupe Adelabu of the National Board for Technical Education gave a talk on Prospect and Challenges in becoming a Woman Entrepreneur

Present were NAWORG grand patron Mrs Olufunsho Amosun wife of Ogun State Governor, Patron Alhaji Tunji Labode and Matron Chief Mrs. Adesola Adebutu.
