The National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA’s) Women Business Group (NAWORG) this week held a conference and its first awards celebration to honour distinguished women as well as women entrepreneurs.

The day which started with a conference had a keynote speech from Prof. John Aremu who spoke on, “Women in Business Paradigm Shift: The Vista and Opportunities.

Mrs. Shade Okoya, Executive Director of Eleganza Industries Limited was the guest of honour at the awards dinner and she spoke on women working together to support other women in a bid to thrive and excel together as well as break new business grounds.

The award recipients included Senator Remi Tinubu, Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Deputy Governor Rivers state, Dr. Olufunso Amosun, Dame Abimbola Fashola, Barrister Mrs. Margaret Orakwusi of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and host and immediate past NACCIMA President, Iyalode Alaba Lawson.
