Three staff of Kano state Primary Health Care Management Board accused of rape, abortion and fraud have been dismissed.

The affected health workers who faced a disciplinary committee for ethical misconduct were found guilty and subsequently sacked from the state service.

In a statement signed by the spokesperson of the board, Maikudi Muhammad Marafa, he said the decision followed the recommendation of the governing board and disciplinary advisory committee constituted to investigate the matter. The staff from Gezawa was charged for attempted fraud after using staff information to obtain a loan without their consent.

“The other staff from Gwarzo local government was charged with conducting an abortion.” The release then called on all staff under PHCMB to be good ambassadors of the board in their respective places of work.

According to the statement, the executive secretary of the board, Tijjani Usman would no longer condone any misconduct from any staff.
