Are you lacking motivation in your life? Surely this is a question we have all asked ourselves or perhaps someone at some point during our lives. Is it that you feel confused and don’t really know what you want out of life? Or perhaps it is that you don’t actually want anything out of life… Food for thought huh? However, this seldom is the true reason for the lack of motivation you may be experiencing presently in life.

Truth could be said that it is difficult to know, let alone find what it is you want for your life if you are presently in a wrong mindset with a possible “I am not interested… or I don’t care…”attitude. For example, perhaps at present you’re feeling stressed out; you are not in a very good place mentally, now would not be an ideal or right time for you to put in place a potential start up plan for lets say a business idea, would it? More than likely its not, as you first need to find and acquire the motivation you require in order to do the things you need to to do to get yourself firstly mentally in the right frame and state of mind.

Depending on the severity of your present mind-set, e.g. severe mental depression, you initially will want to consider seeking professional help. Firstly, and importantly, you need to understand what and why you are feeling the way you do and there are three basic common factors that can help you to determine at any given time how you are feeling with regards to lacking in motivation, and these are your “ ability to focus”, “your Physiology” “your standards”. For example, you keep focusing on how miserable life is, then of course the chances are that you are going to find it difficult and feel unmotivated to do anything. You walk around like a depressed headless chicken, then yes you will feel depressed, this reflecting in your posture which also contributes an effect in how you feel and thinking, feeling or believing your life standards are “low” or “mediocre”, then you are setting yourself up to experience just that – Consider setting yourself high standards, after all, why should you settle for anything less.

Just how does knowing, learning and understanding all this contribute toward seeking motivation?  Earlier on I said “Truth could be said that it is difficult to know, let alone find what it is you want for your life if you are presently in a wrong mindset with a possible “I am not interested… or I don’t care…”attitude.”… Keeping this in mind, you need to create, develop and introduce some order and meaning into your life – motivate your life with a purpose and refrain from the mentality of the depressed headless chicken. Encourage and push yourself to be happy and excited with life.

See and focus on life with a positive outlook and attitude. Consider starting your day by asking yourself positive questions such as “What right now is well in my life?”, “What makes me happy with my life right now?” instead of “what is going wrong in my life?” and so on. By doing this, you are empowering your mind by focusing on empowering thoughts and the positive things that are going on around you and within your life.

Look at life with enthusiasm and zest and alter your physical chemistry, instead walk tall with your head held high, straight back enabling you to breath more fully and walk faster instead of walking around slowly with a low head hanging downwards, slouched shoulders, and a curved back causing shallow breathing. You will feel so much better for this.

Revise your standards in your life and up the anti. All this time, up until this moment, you have more than likely set low standards for yourself, not to mention of yourself, lacking in expectation of receiving and having much out of life. You need to realize that you are not only deserving of, but also worthy of so much more from and in life.

It is a known fact that people who are motivated, alive with a purpose and aim for their dreams and goals have a positive and healthy outlook toward life and in turn surrounding yourself with such like people enables you to come round to their way of thinking, reasoning, going about and achieving things within the context of your own life and making the best of your own existence in this world.
