The 2018 edition of Eloy Awards (EA) will hold on November 25 at the Lagos Continental Hotel, to celebrate women who consistently work hard in their chosen fields or careers, but are rarely seen in the limelight .

With about 21 award categories to be won by winners amongst the nominees for this year’s EA, the convener Tewa Onasanya, CEO of Exquisite Magazine and her team, with a host of sponsors, has promised that the EA as always would uphold integrity as the planning committee has no interference with nominations.

Onasanya who addressed pressmen during a conference in Lagos said, nominees would be selected from different walks of life and would be eligible via vote-count by citizens who choose to vote them in because the integrity of the award is paramount and cannot be altered.

“It’s got nothing to do with having connection with Exquisite Magazine, it’s an award for women who are making better our society and country in their corners without recognition. It is an award for recognition, honour and respect. People should expect an evening where ladies who didn’t think people were watching them would be celebrated for having done great, not just for themselves, but also for the society.

“The EA brand portrays the importance of having reputable women in the society who keep striving for greatness irrespective of the odds and challenges they face from day-to-day,” she said.

The convener, however, explained the importance of also celebrating men who consistently reach out to promoting women and helping them attain greatness under any circumstances.

The selection criteria for the nationwide EA will narrow down to diverse qualitative attributes in personality and achievements such as, women who have records of direct leadership, services that have helped other women, commitment to career or profession, integrity, character and others.
