I am pleased to present the fifth edition of Guardian Angels. It has been particularly inspiring to read and edit the incoming stories this month, the common themes being peace and engaging in actions towards a better world. I am honoured to introduce the Nigerian Imam who saved the lives of Christians to those who haven’t yet heard about him, and also to remind everyone about the great Mandela and what he stood for – peace, justice and equality – as shown in the Mandela Mile feature.

This edition is very much about the need to step up, to get our acts together collectively. That is the only way to work towards a better world. To go that extra mile. Daphne Loukas, CEO, Out There Impact believes Mandela Mile will “inspire countless people around the globe to become change-makers and ‘go the distance’ for a freer fairer and more peaceful world.”

Furthermore, “Out There Impact is the perfect vehicle to help serve the greater good and improve people’s lives via mobile technologies. It will make use of the stellar network and assets we have built up over the past years and which are ideally positioned to contribute to a more socially conscious planet.”

I also found this poem below, by Israelmore Ayivor, an inspirational writer, blogger and speaker with the passion of informing people, reforming lives and transforming society inspiring. It really sums up the mood of this publication:

Everybody is standing, but you must stand out.

Everybody is breaking grounds, but you must breakthrough!

Everybody scratching it, but you must scratch it hard!
Everybody is going, but you must keep going extra miles!

Dare to be exceptionally excellent – and why not?

Some food for thought………..

Thank you in advance for reading, and to those who offer their ongoing support. We endeavour to continue working with a range of local, regional, and international brands and people who share our vision. Our potential partners can include Corporate Social Responsibility Champions; Angel Investors; Venture Capitalists and Private Equity Funds interested in contributing to the sustainable development of Africa, of Nigeria and wider Africa (Impact Investors); Philanthropists; HNWI Foundations and Corporate Foundations.

I am inspired daily by the amazing stories of companies, organisations and individuals acting in selfless ways for good and we want to continue to create a platform for sharing details about donations, grants, schemes, and initiatives for causes that can better the lives of the most disadvantaged people.

Guardian Angels will also continue to feature and partner with companies that are committed to creating more awareness about their CSR and about individuals’ contributions to society at large as philanthropists so that more beneficiaries can have access to this valuable information.
